Tips and Hints
When you first start the game, you have no equipment because it is all being
cleared through customs. However, you have 200 credits in your pocket at the
beginning of the game, so it might be a wise idea to look for a weapon to buy
before you get into trouble. Don't forget to equip it after you buy it!
(through your inventory screen)
Once you reach level 6, your equipment will clear customs and you will get your
first set of armor as well as an entrance visa that allows you out of the starting
area. Be careful, as the world is dangerous these days! The creatures that roam
the valley surrounding Fort McAlister are just to get you accustomed to the
layout and controls of the game, and aren't very strong. If you don't equip your
armor before heading out of the fort for the first time at level six, don't expect
to make it very far! You'll have to pay to have your armor repaired if it gets
damaged, but if you don't have the money the armorsmith Martog has been known to
make trades from time to time.
